DWIGHT, ILLINOIS
PHARMACANN MEDICAL CANNABIS PROCESSING FACILITY
With PharmaCann’s Hillcrest facility just underway, CORDOS commenced construction of the Dwight facility in late March 2015.
CORDOS started with sawcutting slabs for extensive underground plumbing within the processing facility, a pre-existing 25,000 square foot seed storage barn. In early April, CORDOS started earthwork for the greenhouse building pad, construction of a new detention pond, and underground site utilities. Erection of the contiguous 25,000 SF greenhouse started in May, interior construction followed in July, and occupancy was achieved in September, on-schedule.
As with its counterpart in Hillcrest, the size and quality of piped utilities were difficult to accomplish within the six month completion schedule for the Dwight facility. While coordinating the extension of 3 phase power to the remote rural site with Commonwealth Edison, CORDOS also coordinated the design, permitting, and installation of an 80 GPM domestic and irrigation well system, septic treatment plant, underground fire suppression storage tanks, and extension of natural gas service by NiCor.
