MMJ AND ADULT-USE DISPENSARY FOR PHARMACANN & BRIGHTON HEALTH ADVOCATES
In March 2018, CORDOS began the adaptive reuse of the former residence of 1800s Captain Alden Besse, a stately 3,600 square foot structure along the Wareham River, along the same shore where the British invaded during the War of 1812.
In addition to coordinating building permitting, CORDOS secured approvals to comply with the Wareham Historical Commission’s Preservation Plan. CORDOS contracted with local artisan tradespersons to completely repair and restore every detail of the exterior facades, and provide new parking and handicap-accessible entrances. The interior was gutted and reconfigured to accommodate retail medical and adult-use cannabis sales, including entirely new electrical and HVAC systems, extensive fire alarm and security systems, and all new finishes. When completed in late 2018, the dispensary was one of the first to market in Massachusetts.
