Pointe 1900 on State Street

Constructed in two phases between 2003 and 2006, Pointe 1900 contains 131 condominium units, a residential basement parking garage, 40,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space, and surface retail parking.

As founding partner and design principal of Bedar Dwyer & Behm, the architectural firm who performed the original design, Clifford Bedar designed and oversaw permitting for both phases of Pointe 1900. In his ensuing role as Dynaprop Development’s Director of Construction Operations, Bedar personally managed the construction of phase 1 in 14 months and phase 2 in just over 15 months. Acting as on-site project manager and superintendent, Bedar managed hundreds of trade subcontractors and suppliers to construct the high-end residential units and common areas as well as the 40,000 square feet of grey and white box commercial space containing five star restaurants Café Bionda and Opart’s and a host of retailers.

Bedar’s construction management expertise enabled him to oversee the Wight & Company’s redesign and re-permitting of the second phase during the construction of phase 1, which ultimately added two additional floors and thirty additional units to the original design.
