In January of 2023, Cordos began work on a new state-of-the-art assembly and showroom facility for Kern Precision, Inc., a German company specializing in high precision CNC machinery. The $1.5 million project took place in an existing warehouse in Glendale Heights, a north suburb of Chicago. The project had an aggressive timeline of only 10 months, with a non-negotiable deadline of October 12th, 2023.

Cordos’ work included a full gut and rehab, new underground plumbing, gas service, and mechanical systems. The project featured a reinforced 10” slab to reduce vibrations for the high precision equipment. A new electrical service was also required, with an imported German transformer to achieve the necessary voltage for their equipment.

Despite a few hurdles, Cordos’ team was able to meet the schedule and budget; Kern Precision, Inc. opened its within on October 12th 2023. This quick turnaround in a challenging project underscored the importance of effective project management, strategic planning, and a commitment to meeting the high standards set by the client.
