Verilife North Aurora & Ottawa
The CORDOS Verilife Ottawa project was constructed within an existing 5,964 sf retail store. The buildout final value was approximately 1.7 million dollars.
CORDOS is continuing this building program with another facility in Illinois, and two others in New York State that will be starting in the coming months
New consecutive buildouts
In late October 2023, CORDOS Construction mobilized crews in Ottawa and North Aurora, Illinois to perform simultaneous dispensary buildouts for one of the largest multi-state-operators in the US. CORDOS' team worked very closely with the client and its design team to confirm that their designs were compliant not only with the respective municipal codes, but also with the IDFPR regulations for dispensary construction and operation in the state of Illinois. Faced with an aggressive delivery schedule and ongoing changes throughout the permitting and buildout process, CORDOS delivered both projects on time while adapting to site-specific conditions to ensure a uniform aesthetic between the two stores, as part of the MSO’s updated branding.

The Ottawa project was constructed within an existing 5,964 SF retail store. The buildout final value was approximately $1.7 million. The North Aurora project was constructed within a new 3,941 SF shell and was valued at approximately $1.5 million. Both projects included a total gut and rebuild of the interior, complete with code compliant fire protection, new underground and above ground plumbing, new mechanical equipment and ductwork distribution, backup generator, complete data and security systems with access control, burglar/duress alarms, and CCTV; a complete retail millwork package.
